ICT Comic Con and Science Fiction Expo
One event I’ve never been to in Wichita is ICT Comic Con and Science Fiction Expo. The event which was held at Century II has turned into one of the most popular comic conventions in Wichita. The science fiction expo features comics, horror films, movies, video games and more.
Many years ago, I was really into comics and amassed quite a collection that still sits at my parents’ house to this day.
The event, which is in its seventh year, celebrates the world of comics and science fiction that has only gotten more popular year after year.
The vent had special guests that included Denise Crosby from Star Trek, Barry Bostwick from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Paul T. Taylor from Friday the 13th and Bobby Clark from Star Trek.
Many vendors were on hand selling collectibles, vintage toys, board games, art, posters, and more.
…and yes, there were many comic vendors on hand, thus the name Comic Con.
Held over a two-day span, we made it out to the second day and things didn’t look like they skipped a bit.
Many attendees came dressed in their favorite sci-fi and comic characters. And every vendor booth had plenty of people browsing around. There was even an area upstairs people could check out board games to try to play.
