It’s been roughly two and a half years since Morris St. Carry Out closed their restaurant at 1712 E. Morris St.
The soul food restaurant, serving catfish, burgers, wings and more, closed in hopes of finding a new location. They even considered a move to Towne West Mall, but that never happened.
Now it looks like there will be a revival of sorts as the owner of Morris St. Carry Out has shared a new location has been found.
It was shared on the restaurant’s Facebook page that Morris St. Carry Out will take over the former Wichita Fish Co. space at 818 N. Mosley. With the move, a name change will come as well. I’m not sure if Mosley St. Carry Out or maybe even Mosley Street Melodrama and Catfish are in the running.
There’s still work to be done to get ready for an opening, and it appears, the new restaurant won’t open for at least another 30 days, which may put us in late December or early into 2024.
When I hear of a firm date, I’ll be sure to pass this along. Stay tuned for more.
