Kick off the new year with a hilarious comedy by Tony Award winning playwright Matthew Lopez at Roxy’s Downtown! The Legend of Georgia McBride follows Casey, a young Elvis Presley impersonator barely making a living. He’s young, he’s broke, his landlord’s knocking at the door, and he’s just found out his wife is going to have a baby. To make matters worse, Casey is fired from his gig as an Elvis impersonator in a run-down, small-town Florida bar. When the bar owner brings in a B-level drag show to replace his act, “The King” transforms into an all-out queen.

Scoring will follow the rules outlined in the latest Gaining Grounds packet. 2.5 hour rounds Crew construction will follow the Standard rules outlined in the current Gaining Grounds document, be Fixed faction, No Dead Man’s Hand, and follow the Bans Variant.
