When it comes to bundt cakes in Wichita, there’s one popular name in Wichita, Monica’s Bundt Cake but there’s a new player in town, Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Nothing Bundt Cakes opened doors on 12/15/16. They are located at 2035 N Rock Road right next door to Pie Five Pizza and Bricktown Brewery at the southwest corner of Rock and 21st street.
They are open Monday – Friday 10 am – 7 pm and Saturday from 10 am – 6 pm.
Many colleagues and I had a chance to preview some of their Bundtinis and Bundt Cakes to get a first look at the quality and how they tasted.
By all accounts from everybody who tried their Bundtini’s, they were delicious. The Bundtinis are bite-sized bundt cakes, about the size of a cupcake. The four flavors we tried were Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry, Red Velvet, and Lemon.
Each Bundtini was topped with a thick frosting petal that everybody just loved. The real winner was the actual bundtini itself……..well…….and everybody who ate one.
Both the Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Red Velvet had little tiny chocolate chips stuffed inside them. For the Red Velvet Bundtini, it was a nice little flavor addition to the rich velvet taste. The Chocolate Chocolate Chip was rich as expected.
The two runaway favorites were the Lemon and the White Chocolate Raspberry. The White Chocolate mixed in with the Raspberry was two great flavors thrown in together to put a smile on your face. While the Lemon was just so light and refreshing you kept on wanting to eat one. I won’t lie, I had maybe 2-3 of the Lemon Bundtini’s.
On top of that,all of the Bundtini’s were extremely moist so you didn’t have that dry aftertaste after eating.
Nothing Bundt Cakes also offers Bundlet and Bundlet towers which are mini Bundt Cakes. If you’d like a regular sized Bundt Cake, they have them in 8 in and 10 inch versions.
By taste alone, Nothing Bundt Cakes was a winner for our group. Certainly another worthy option for dessert hunters in Wichita.
