Tokyo Japanese Cuisine has been in Wichita since 2015 and to attract more customers has been offering half-price sushi on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Tokyo Japanese Cuisine is located at 446 N West Street. The half price sushi is available only on those three days for dine-in.
Their hours are:
Lunch: Mon. – Sat.: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Dinner: Mon. – Thurs.: 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Friday: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Saturday: Noon – 10:00 pm
Sunday: Noon – 9:30 pm

Most people have their go to and favorite spots for sushi in town. But it can never hurt to give a new place a try and see how it compares to your favorites. So that’s what I did last week while giving Tokyo’s sushi an attempt to see how they fared.
Here is their menu for those three days:
Just glancing through the menu, there were some great affordable options that sounded delicious. My friend and I ended up going with some Salmon Sashimi, a Salmon Spicy Roll, a Godzilla Roll, and the Mars Roll. All of that was around $22. At most sushi restaurants, an order similar to that would be roughly $40.
The true test would be how the sushi actually tasted.
For how busy Tokyo was that day, the two man staff were working hard and diligently to get everything out. I watched them interact with customers. They showed a real appreciation to anybody who came in.
Within about ten minutes, our sushi was delivered.
The Salmon Sashimi was excellent. It didn’t have that really fishy taste to it. It was that type of salmon that just melts in your mouth.
The Godzilla Roll roll had a lot going on between the tuna, white fish, salmon and spicy sauce. We both liked it and the little beat of heat it brought to the table.
The Spicy Salmon Roll wasn’t that impressive. The salmon didn’t hold well in the roll. It was like a puree that didn’t have much flavor to it.
The Mars Roll was another excellent roll and probably one of our favorite rolls.
Overall, we were pretty impressed with the Tokyo Japanese Cuisine offering and the half price offer they have for the first three days of the week.
If you love sushi, a good deal or even looking to try sushi for your first time at a great price, Tokyo Japanese Cuisine is a great option.
