UPDATE: De’Ville’s has since moved to 2243 S. Meridian
Every now and then, I get asked for suggestions on service industries around town. Where I go to get this done or where I go to have that fixed.
I wanted to touch upon De’Ville’s Barber Shop and Shaving Parlor. I’ve been going here for over a year now to get my haircut and it’s a place I wish I’ve known about for many years.
De’Ville’s located at 2433 W. Douglas (SE corner of Douglas and Meridian) offer barbering services from haircuts, beard trims, and straight razor shaves. They do designs, razor fades, hard parts, crew cuts, fades, tapers, simple haircuts, you name it for men, women, boys or girls. Just $15 for a cut or a shave; cash only.
Deville’s is what I imagine when I picture any locally owned barbershop. Four down to earth licensed barbers cutting hair, ribbing on each other, telling stories, etc.
They are open Tuesday thru Friday 9am – 6pm and then 9am – 4pm on Saturday. Closed on Sunday and Monday. They don’t take appointments so it’s all walk ins only.
What I like about them goes beyond the haircuts as well. They give back to the community which is a huge plus from me. For instance, this weekend they are having a chili cook off with proceeds going to benefit the Wichita Children’s Home. They are partaking in a Christmas Toy Drive starting November 15 thru December 16. They gave discounted haircuts to veterans on Veteran’s Day. That’s just a little blip of what they do in the community.
Stand up guys. Stand up business and excellent haircuts at a great price. Do you need anything more?
