Everybody has the comfy hole in the wall breakfast diner they have frequented for years. At the recommendation of one of my friends, I joined him along with some others at one of those little diners. This one can be found in Park City, KS. Only open for breakfast and lunch, Auntie C’s Restaurant really packs the place up on the weekends for those diners looking for good food, friendly people and a warm environment to star their day.

What you find at Auntie C’s is that small town feel good ambience. Walking in the doors, I was greeted by so many employees who made me feel like someone who they’ve known for years. The menu is very basic with all of the breakfast favorites you’ll find at any diner along with some other comfort foods like meatloaf and chicken fried steak.
If you’re a fried chicken fan, they have All You Can Eat Fried Chicken on Sundays for $9.99. It includes potato, salad and veggies.
My friends and I chose something different as not to completely stuff ourselves with chicken to start our Sunday. What did we do instead? Stuff ourselves with other food.
Three of us went with breakfast options while I went with the meatloaf. I love meatloaf so much it was so hard to order anything else.
The Spanish omelette on looks alone was beautiful. If you decide to order this one, you don’t have to worry about leaving hungry. It’s incredibly filling and was described as excellent and delicious. Another friend ordered a simple breakfast and said the pancakes at Auntie C’s are always on point. She also loved that the hand formed patties were not pre-made. Then there was my friend who made the recommendation of Auntie C’s. He had the hot link special with eggs over easy. He really loved it and wanted to make it a point to say he’s never had a bad breakfast there. The meatloaf, on the other hand, wasn’t as excellent as the other breakfast options. The gravy was very salty and the meatloaf tasted like one of those banquet meals you find in the frozen section. Just looking at the breakfast options, I regretted not going that route. The meatloaf was a letdown to which my friends told me, “Why would you not order breakfast at Auntie C’s?”
Note to self… scratch that…. Note to all….. stick with the breakfast items at Auntie C’s because let’s face it, you can never really go wrong with breakfast.
The service at Auntie C’s was top notch with an ambience to match. One thing I really liked about Auntie C’s was you didn’t leave smelling like your food. That’s something common at many breakfast joints around town.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
