I cant wait it’s taken me this long to get out and try one of my favorite meals: ramen!
Dempsey’s Biscuit Company at 3425 E Douglas has had a temporary menu item that has been available since early this month and the last night of it is TONIGHT! It’s Hot Chicken Ramen.
Their homemade ramen is made with pork broth, pickled shimeji mushrooms, soft boiled egg, fresh ramen noodles, green onion, chili oil, and topped with their signature Nashville Hot Chicken. You get your choice of fhe hot chicken, hot hot or the reaper. All of this for $10.
It really is the perfect mix of two great worlds: hot chicken and ramen. Most of the ramen you’ll find around town has broth that is salty by default. They found a way to really scale that back at Dempsey’s. Then having the hot chicken soaking in the broth gives it a richer taste that you’ll love. Add in a couple soft boiled eggs and you’re in for a heavenly treat.
Why did it take me so long to try this? I blame it on the weather and the flu bug going around. But if you happen to have some time tonight and are anxious to get out of the house, check it out while you can!
Happy Dining,
Eddy
