There can never be too many dessert shops in town. The newest one, Sweetz N Treatz Bakery, opened up last month and we stopped to see what you can expect on your first visit there.

Sweetz N Treatz Bakery has all sorts of treats like cupcakes, cookies and cakeballs. They also will make cakes upon request.
We ordered a cakeball, a couple cupcakes and a chocolate covered strawberry. Both the cakeball and the strawberry were fantastic. The small coating of white chocolate on the strawberry was 1.) hard to mess up and 2.) just what we needed. For the cupcake, we were a little letdown by them. They were much more dense than we preferred. If you’ve ever had a vegan cupcake, that was kind of what it tasted like. That’s all fine and dandy but our preference is a good moist cupcake that doesn’t rely so heavy on the icing. We’ve heard many good things around their cupcakes and not sure if it was a different batch or what. We love a good moist delicious cupcake and unfortunately it wasn’t exactly what we ended up with.
