When you arrive, you can check in with the hostess and given a buzzer when your table is ready.
The stand alone restaurant was built from the ground up specifically for Buffalo Wings & Rings and seats around 210 people. There are plenty of televisions; roughly 40 in total. The spacing of the televisions was well thought out. It was done much better than their biggest competitor Buffalo Wild Wings. There’s table top seating, bench seating and more seating at the bar too. There’s also a 450-square foot patio.
You can view the menu here. The pricing is on par with many other bars and competitors you’ll find around town. With a name like “Wings & Rings”, we all ordered plenty of different flavors of wings along with onion rings. We also ordered the buffalo chicken nachos. You’ll love the buffalo sauce on the chicken dip. The onion rings were also breaded lightly and weren’t oily at all.
For the wings, we ordered a mixture of boneless and bone-in wings with many different sauces and dry rubs. The bone-in wings were roughly the size of what you can find BWW while the boneless wings were much larger. We all agreed the dry rubs were a little lacking and much preferred the sauces. Some sauces that stuck out to us were the sweet BBW, bourbon BBW and peach Habanero.
For the sides, we had fries, homemade coleslaw, bacon mac & cheese and chips. None of the sides stuck out as spectacular to is. It was mostly your standard bar fare when it came to sides.
With the VIP opening, the staff was getting slammed so we didn’t bother with ordering dessert that evening. Otherwise Buffalo Wings & Rings has shot to really make it in town once they can nail down their processes. The layout was extremely nice and an optimal spot to watch games at especially with football just around the corner. The far northeast area of Wichita is lacking in the department of “sports bars” so this very well could be a viable option.
With the grand opening taking place on Wednesday, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below on this newest restaurant in Wichita if you go.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
