Last year Shocker fans were given the opportunity to buy beer at Charles Koch Arena. This year, Wichita State is now making liquor and wine available.
You can now purchase wine, beer, and liquor at volleyball games and that will carry into the basketball season which starts next week with the exhibition game on Tuesday.
This is sure to be another helpful revenue source for the athletic department.
There were always concerns whether beer sales would cause problems at games with unruly fans but I didn’t see any issues with that. As a season ticket holder, I’m all for it. Looking forward to my first vodka water while watching the young team hopefully continue WSU’s NCAA Tournament streak.
And to those fans who love a good beer, I highly encourage you all to look into the Wichita State Alumni Association Mug Club. It’s just $25!
