Mediterranean Grill has been going through some changes lately. While working on their exterior, they’ve also been changing some things on the inside. The biggest change has been to their menu. Last month, they put out a new menu so my friends and I decided to stop by and check out one of the Mediterranean restaurants that doesn’t get enough credit.

For starters, I would highly recommend everybody pick up the Mediterranean Grill Groupon. There are two different $20 and $30 vouchers that will save you 35-40% if you decide to go. This review was done without the Groupon so you’ll get a better deal than we did!
On our dinner visit, we started off with hummus, some salads and soup. The hummus was wonderful. But what was even better was the pita bread. It was soft yet still had the durability to scoop up the delicious hummus. It was complimented by everyone at our table. The soups were also flavorful. Regarding the salads, I’ll admit it could have used a little more dressing.
We don’t have many staff policies at Wichita By E.B. The most important one though is everybody has to order something different. Knowing that, we went with the falafel sandwich, tenderloin filet with vegetables, Mediterranean chicken, and the spaghetti which happened to be the special that evening.
Every dish had a nice portion size for the money; the value was certainly there. I had the spaghetti at the recommendation of my server. I was glad because it was delightful in every sense of the word. Our resident spaghetti connoisseur, Danielle, had a few bites and also gave it a major thumbs up. That’s high praise considering she’s had spaghetti at nearly every place in town. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their filet and chicken meals. It’s always a good sign when a happy plate appears.
Of course not all meals are perfection. The one major drawback of the evening was the falafel sandwich. It was a little on the dry side. Perhaps adding in more vegetables like diced cucumbers along with toasting the pita bread or making it panini style would have improved it.
Even with that one miss, they had plenty more hits to make it a successful visit. Along with the great value and portion size, the service was attentive, quick and with a smile. We couldn’t have asked for more.
