As reported here, XTreme Racing & Entertainment closed down indefinitely. While XTreme Racing & Entertainment blamed it on the ownership of Brittany Center, there were people responding they closed suddenly under different circumstances.
People questioned whether the owners sold the gift cards with full knowledge of the business’ future. That’s something I’ll let other news outlets figure out. Their website stated that any unused races of gift cards would not be refunded. Your only option was to redeem those at their Tulsa location. Let’s be honest, who’s going to make the 2+ hour drive just to use their gift cards?
Fortunately one local businessman is trying to alleviate some of those issues.
Derek Sorrells, owner of The Arcade, posted on Wichita By E.B.’s Facebook page that you can bring your gift card to The Arcade and he’ll give you two free passes. It’s worth it, I had way more fun at The Arcade than I did at XTreme Racing & Entertainment. The offer is valid through 1/31/19. Great to see one local business step up to help local customers who were screwed over.
