ABOUT THE OWNERS
My professional background has primarily been with Walgreens as a store manager (Newton and Harry & Webb). I do not have any restaurant experience, relying mostly on my experience in retail management. This is my first business venture where our entire menu is from my mom’s recipes. My brother works for me as our Executive Chef. Outside of work, I’m a big sports fanatic (love everything K-State, Washington Redskins, Chicago Bulls, & the Shockers – when they don’t play K-State)
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
We are a family owned business, featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine – all from Mom’s recipes. We opened in November of 2017. We wanted to differentiate from the “norm” of other Vietnamese restaurants by offering a cleaner, more modern atmosphere by including vibrant colors and great craft beers to perfectly pair with our food. Although our concept is fast casual, we wanted to maintain all aspects of a traditional sit-down establishment – meaning we eliminate the ordering at the table process to save time but all orders are made fresh once ticket is placed, all while still providing standard table service. Our goal is to bring Vietnamese cuisine to the mainstream by being more prevalent on social media and providing as many great pictures of our food as possible. We want to show everyone that you can still have great authentic food in a fun, modern, and clean atmosphere where presentation is just as important to us as food quality.
WHY THE BUSINESS WAS STARTED
I’ve always wanted to be my own boss, when Tyler Pointe was developing, it was the perfect location for us here on the west side (where we reside). We chose the restaurant industry because growing up, we’ve always had good feedback regarding Mom’s cooking and I’ve always been a huge foodie so everything seemed to make sense to open a Vietnamese restaurant w/ a more modern concept.
