ABOUT THE OWNERS
My wife Candace and I (Landon) grew up in Andover and being Wichita natives, we love Wichita and all the people in it. We started dating in high school and got married in fall of 2015. We both ended up at Wichita State for school (go shocks!). I have worked as an engineer in town since I graduated and Candace has worked as a wedding coordinator the last couple years. After moving away for a year for work in 2016, we were given the opportunity to come back home and we jumped at it. After being home for a few months, I thought it would be cool to show why we love Wichita so much. This led me to making the Wichita Life ICT instagram which has quickly become a place to highlight all the creative, entrepreneurial, and awesome people / places in Wichita.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Wichita Life ICT started as just an Instagram to highlight all the awesome people in Wichita. We also have a Twitter and Facebook page! I started a podcast last summer as a fun way to have longer conversations with interesting and successful people in or from Wichita. The main purpose of all of this is to have a platform where Wichita’s talented artists, musicians, photographers, entrepreneurs and local businesses have a place where they can share their stories and work. A lot of people think Wichita is lame or there is nothing to do, but we want to show what Wichita had to offer. Wichita is on the brink of making a jump in the how people view our city and we want to help bridge the gap
WHY THE BUSINESS WAS STARTED
We started Wichita Life to give Wichitans a platform to share their work, businesses and creative projects.
