People who have been awaiting the scheduled grand opening of Sam’s Southern Eatery for January 15 will have to wait just a little longer.
They made the announcement this week that a new opening date will soon be released. So if schedule your restaurant outings, your Wednesday is now open for another option. Might I suggest one of the Dine Out Wichita restaurants? Daily specials every day from restaurants who have gone on to benefit United Way of the Plains!
For those that don’t know, the new restaurant will be located at 6600 W Central Avenue in the former Marcos Cantina space. According to their website, the chain based out of Louisiana specializes in “Offering high quality food, healthy eating options, and generous portions at competitive prices is what drives our success.”
The full-service sit down will have catfish, po boys, burgers, shrimp, oysters, chicken and an assortment of other fried items. Their logo says they are “Home of the Jumbo Shrimp”. I’m always game for Southern cuisine so have this one on my calendar.
