ABOUT THE OWNERS
Austin and I met in Germany when he was stationed there 1984-1986, at the AFB in Sembach, Germany. We got married in 1986 and moved to the states Feb. of 1987. It was a big culture shock for me as a German Immigrant moving from a small village in Rheinland Pfalz to a big city in Florida. What kept me motivated to strive and do better, was my passion for cooking, the memories I kept while growing up as a child and learning recipes from my mom and sisters.

We made it a habit to visit my family every 2 years with our children. The first thing we always did when arriving in Germany was finding an Imbiss (stationary Food stand) so we could get our Bratwurst on a Brotchen (crusty bun) fix.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS
We offer the only urban German Bier Garten in Wichita serving authentic German fare and imported beer.

WHY I STARTED THE BUSINESS
Back in 2012, Wichita had the big food truck scene, and we realized this would be our chance to introduce Wichita to German food the way we remember it. We started the German Food Truck “Let’m Eat Brats” which ran from 2013-2018. From a Food Truck, we evolved into a German restaurant.
