ABOUT THE OWNERS
Hi! We are Lea & James Himes and we love bread. That phrase – we love bread. It’s simple, but to us it’s much more.
While earning her degree in Dietetics at Kansas State, Lea became intrigued with the science behind naturally-leavened breads. It wasn’t long until she was making far more bread than our family could reasonably consume. So she shared! Friends, family, co-workers all started requesting loaves for dinners and other holiday events. And so it began…
James grew up in New York and wanted to deliver a bagel that measured up to the requirements to be considered a New York-style bagel. Together, we have done just that.

Our mission is to provide our local community with a unique and amazing product, educate them on the science behind sourdough bread baking, and deliver a truly remarkable experience that reminds people why they fell in love with bread in the first place.
WHY WE STARTED THE BUSINESS
At Everything & the Bagel Bread Co, we want to bring our love and passion of artisan sourdough breads and bagels into each and every home.
MOST POPULAR ITEM
We would say that our most popular menu items would be the Garlic Rosemary loaf, the Pumpkin Orange Cranberry loaf, and our staple Everything bagel. There are so many great flavors to choose from and we are excited for people to try all of them!
THE MENU
We are a home-based business located on the East side of Wichita near Kellogg & Rock Rd. You have the choice of picking up your order from our home or having us deliver for a small fee. An online store is under construction and will be available soon. Additionally, you can find us at the Old Town Farm & Art Market during market times.
