Revisiting Frost: A College Hill bake house & creamery

We’ve been on our own mini-tour of College Hill dessert shops. The next stop for us was Frost. They are a bake house and creamery that makes many of their treats from scratch with all-natural ingredients.

We were wanting ice cream. The last time we went to Frost, it was a brief visit. This time around we made sure our evening was free so we could enjoy our time there.

There were twelve flavors to choose from and we were allowed to sample different ones. We ended up with five different scoops: Strawberry Sorbet, Mango Sorbet, Pineapple Sorbet, Cookies & Cream and Ube.

The latter was new to both of us. Ube is a Filipino ice cream flavor prepared using ube which is essentially a purple yam. We both tried a sample and it had a unique flavor to it. I’d describe it as slightly sweet and nutty.

All the sorbets were phenomenal, sweet and refreshing. Between the three different flavors, I’m not sure if I could pick out a favorite. Our daughter definitely did, though. She originally had Cookies & Cream but wanted not part of it once I showed her the Pineapple sorbet.

We had a great time there. With the warm weather in full effect, this was a nice getaway for something cool literally and figuratively. One of these days, I’m going to need to check out their pies and cakes.

Here’s the menu:

Happy Dining,
Eddy
