The American Theatre Guild and Broadway in Wichita is back for another year. The 2022-23 season has officially kicked off with Bluey’s Big Play.
It’s the first of what will be six different shows in the series. Bluey’s Big Play is a live action version of the popular cartoon show that my daughter and many of her friends and family have been watching. She was in attendance along with one of her best friends and even her cousins.
Blue’s Big Play will only be in Wichita for a two-show run. They had their first one on Thursday and the next will be on Friday, Dec. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
Following Bluey’s Big Play, Broadway in Wichita will change focus to The Concert: A Tribute To ABBA with a one-time show on Thursday, Dec. 29.
Both Bluey’s Big Play and The Concert are 2022-23 Season Add-On Shows which are primers to get you ready for next year when the big performances kick off. The five major shows include:
- Legally Blonde: The Musical: January 28-29
- Anastasia: The New Broadway Musical: March 17-19
- Dear Evan Hansen: April 11-16
- Hamilton: June 6-18
