Goddard has never been known to be a hotbed of restaurants or things to do. Recently, though, things have been on the up and up, especially with the addition of Blast Off Bay and Genesis Sports Complex. The city is growing and people in the community and surrounding area have been yearning for more entertainment. That’s the reason behind the new outdoor venue located at 183rd St. W and Kellogg called OutWest.
1690 S 183rd St. W, Goddard, KS 67052
Tuesday – Thursday: 5pm – 10pm
Friday – Saturday: Noon – Midnight
Sunday: Noon – 8pm
OutWest sits at the southeast corner of the intersection on 9 acres of land.
While the venue can hold up to 3,000 people, it’s more than just a big plot of land.
There is stuff to do for people of all ages. For starters, there’s lawn games, ax throwing, and other games for people to entertain themselves with.
A stage of sorts sits along the north end of OutWest where you can find live music on the weekends. Cheap plug: a schedule of the shows can be found on our live music calendar!
Need to cool off with an icy cold beverage? There’s a fully stocked bar with beers, seltzers, margaritas, mimosas, wine, and more.
If you’re hungry, there’s a concession stand as well. OutWest will also have a space for food trucks to park at. Cheap plug: a schedule of the food trucks can be found on our food truck calendar!
Of course, with any outdoor venue in Kansas, weather is always going to be a factor. Fortunately, much of the seating is covered in shade.
You could tell a lot went into making this new entertainment option in Goddard a reality.
It’s a cool and very welcome addition to the city; providing more things to do, which is never a bad thing.
