Crig’s To Go is a soul food restaurant that offers entrees such as wings, lobster, loaded spuds, crab boils and more.
I stopped by one evening around 6:30 p.m. and a majority of the items were sold out, which was a good sign. They told me that wings, catfish, and shrimp were all they had left so we went with the 6-piece wings with buffalo sauce, corn on the cub, and fried shrimp.
Here’s what we received:
I’m going to keep this short and sweet. We wanted to love the food, but didn’t. The batter for the wings and shrimp felt bland to us. The wings had a very gritty texture in each bite; hard to explain, but the sauce didn’t do much to help. While the wings were big and very meaty, they didn’t resonate much with our taste buds. The portion sizes were also hefty. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans and ended up tossing half of it away. Let’s just leave it at that.
