Wichita Riverfest 2024: Your ultimate guide to concerts, tickets, events and more

The 52nd Wichita Riverfest celebration kicks off starting Friday, May 31 to Saturday, June 8.

Many traditions such as concerts, food and popular events are back.

Riverfest buttons are your admission to the festival, and good for all 9 days. Buttons are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 11–6. Admission is FREE for children ages 5 and under. Buttons can be purchased now at any local QuikTrip or online.

What’s going on? We’ve pulled out some highlights on what to expect for this year’s Riverfest!

Daily Activities:

  • Kids Corner & Inflatables: In a new spot this year, by the South Gate entrance, behind the Old Library. All free with a Riverfest button, and no button is required for children 5 and under.
  • Paddle Boats, Kayaks, and Canoes: Enjoy a spin on a paddleboat, a kayak or a canoe from the Boats & Bikes facility at River Vista! This is the dock where you’ll embark for the races of these watercraft, too.
  • Quantum Credit Union Food Court: On weekdays (Mon–Fri), come for the Business Lunch, 11 AM to 2 PM and get into the food court without a button. And don’t forget to shop the Merchandise Tent on the east end of Kennedy Plaza.
  • Riverfest Carnival: Showcasing rides with a Ferris wheel, Tilt-a-whirl, Viper, Kiddie Cars, and Oscar, the octopus and fish ride, and many more rides. Look for the bright lights of the carnival in the parking lot just southeast of the Hyatt Regency Wichita. Ride tickets can be purchased in this area.
  • Wagonmasters River Tour: (June 1-8) Enjoy a relaxing, narrated cruise along the Arkansas River in Downtown Wichita. Cruises depart under the Douglas Street Bridge on the north side of Douglas, east side of the Arkansas River. Free with your Riverfest button.

  1. Tulsa has better events where don’t have pay for a dumb button to enjoy the events. $20 to walk around not even buy anything, ridiculous. I can spend money better things & elsewhere, likw vehicle & gun shows.
