I’ll admit I’m a fan of the Big Mac from McDonald’s. It’s one of those guilty pleasures of mine and quite possibly the most well-known burger in fast food chain history. So, what does McDonald’s do? They tried to capitalize on the popularity of this iconic burger and created the Chicken Big Mac.
What’s the Chicken Big Mac, you ask? Or may not be asking…
It’s two fried-chicken patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onion on a sesame seed bun.
Does it taste as good as it looks? Yes.
And if you’re looking at the burger and saying to yourself, “That actually looks like crap.”….. Then, ding, ding ding!
The Chicken Big Mac was easily the worst creation McDonald’s ever put out. I would have loved to be in the R&R meeting when it was discussed. Did someone actually sit in the room and say, “This is so delicious!” followed by all the yes-men agreeing to every word.
The patties were quite possibly the worst thing about this creation. I don’t mind the McDonald’s chicken McNuggets and the chicken patties were eerily similar to those, but not in a good way. Imagine two big dry chicken McNuggets pressed down to create a patty with not enough sauce on them.
Only one layer of the Chicken Big Mac had the special sauce and that was unfortunate as that could have been the only saving grace for this atrocity.
This was a dry, bland meal that left me regretting every decision on made that uneventful day.
I had some sweet & sour sauce and thought that might help matters. It didn’t, it only made everything worse.
If you love the Big Mac, don’t make the same decision I did. Stick with the original.
