People love lunch buffets. They are always asking for the next best lunch buffet so I set out to see if I could find a good pizza one. At the suggestion of a friend, I stopped by Gambino’s Pizza on south Webb Road.

The buffet costs $7.99 a person and includes salad, pizza, calzones, pasta, dessert and a drink. So for people looking for values, this is right up your alley.
I stopped by at noon thinking that would be the sweet spot for when there’s high turnover on food. In my experiences, it’s always best to go when it’s busy so the food isn’t just sitting out. Unfortunately when I stopped by there were only a couple customers in there. Much of the food looked like it had been out for a while and it showed in the quality.
I’ve had Gambino’s before and the buffet didn’t live up to the quality. I get that sometimes that is expected but it was a huge difference. The salad was bland and the sides were dry and nearly cold. There weren’t that many pizzas to choose from. What was available was just alright. It was satisfying in the fact that I left full but it wasn’t the feeling that I just left there eating amazing pizza.
Overall it felt like your run of the mill pizza buffet; something high school kids would love. I’ll probably pass on this one in the future and stick to their regular menu if I return.
