While cruising down Broadway, you will run into what feels like hundreds of Mexican restaurants. I’ve been to nearly every single one of them. There are a few I’m missing but will soon be cranking those reviews out. The first of those is Mi Lindo Michoacan Mexican Restaurant at 2120 N. Broadway. I had no idea what to expect but left with a big smile on my face.

Years ago Mi Lindo Michoacan Mexican Restaurant used to be located in south Wichita but have since moved to their newer location on north Broadway. They have been there a little over a year in the crowded and probably saturated area of town. But that won’t prevent me from trying a new restaurant.
When I immediately knew I was going to order all the taco meats they had on the menu. You can find a copy of the menu at the end of this blog. After I made my order, he immediately brought out salsa along with cilantro and onions for my tacos. Options like that are nice because then you can choose the amount of toppings you prefer.
My server asked me if I liked hot sauce. Of course I agreed and he brought me this. Unless you want your ass to burn, I would avoid this. Too much information, I know, but this stuff was FIRE! Learn from my mistakes y’all!
It didn’t take long for my tacos to arrive. I had al pastor, cabeza, tripas, carne asada and carnitas.
The al pastor, tripas and cabeza were all INCREDIBLE! Usually cabeza (aka meat from the head of a cow) can be very greasy. That wasn’t the case here at all; lots of flavor. And the tripas were cooked perfectly; nice little crisp to them. Honestly there wasn’t a bad taco at all but I would definitely go with the first three I mentioned.
This is a place I will be going back to for sure! The service was excellent, my server was super friendly and the food was great. It’s a great little gem on Broadway that I would recommend to anybody.
