I probably shouldn’t get into the habit of this or else I’ll never get invited to events and events again. But I wanted to share an experience I had at an event that was catered by Leo’s Taqueria & Catering. I’ve reviewed their food truck before and loved it.
Not long ago I attended a graduation party which they were catering. It was all Mexican food and so delicious. It was a nice break from the typical catered food you often find at events.
There was little snacks, ceviche, Mexican rice, chicken, vegetables, something I call Mexican spaghetti and even birria!
This carving was also done by Leo’s.
The spaghetti was different than anything I’ve had before. It was a dry pasta mixed in with different spices that gave it a unique flavor that I’ve never tried. I went through probably two plates of it….. Yes, I was that pig that went multiple times for food. If anybody reading is familiar with exactly what kind of spaghetti that is, please educate me!
The birria was tender and juicy; the ceviche was fresh and tasty. Everything else was great. My girlfriend joined me and was loving every second of it. While eating, I came to a realization. I need to really become friends with more people who have events with Mexican food.
Props out to Leo’s Taqueria and Catering on the great job they did. I have loved their food truck so it was not a surprise to me that I loved all of this. If you’re looking for a change in scenery for your next catering gig, perhaps give them a try.
Perhaps I should spend this summer crashing weddings and reviewing more catering jobs.
