Teppanyaki & Sushi Buffet Review

Many people love a good buffet. The question of Chinese buffets always comes up and I’ve slowly been trying to get all of them up to date and reviewed. The next stop on the Chinese buffet tour of sorts brought me to Teppanyaki & Sushi Buffet.

One of the nice things I liked about Teppanyaki was that they placed their price list right on the window facing the front so people could know what they were paying even before they stepped in. #Innovative

I stopped by on a weekday over lunch so my price was $7.99 which was very cheap especially given the selection.

While I’m not sure if it’s fact, Teppanyaki & Sushi Buffet appeared to be the largest buffet in terms of total items available to choose from. They had all of your standard Chinese options along with some American food, a sushi line, desserts and Mongolian grill. The place is massive inside.

Here’s a look at some of what they had on hand:

As a sushi lover, I cannot vouch for the sushi here. It looked dry, discolored and not appealing at all.

As for everything else, it was your very standard Chinese buffet just with many more options to choose from than a Shanghai or China Star.

I made multiple trips down the line to get a good sample size. It probably won’t surprise any of you but nothing really blew me away as “Wow, this is so great compared to other places.” At the same time, a majority of it wasn’t bad. It was all kind of meh or I guess this is decent for most of my time there.

They did do a good job of keeping everything filled up. It’s not a place you should be leaving hungry unless you sat there for ten minutes after you finished eating cause ten minutes is the average time to be hungry again after Chinese food.

For $7.99, it was a good value and perhaps a buffet I’d go to again out of convenience which is probably the reason most people go to Chinese buffets. Overall just an average visit and ranked in the middle tiers of the competition.

Happy Dining,
Eddy

  1. It was the worst Chinese food that my husband and I eaten . Not a single item I took off the bar was at temp everything was cold. I told my husband we should just leave . I wish I would of had a thermometer on me to test the food .
