If you love unique and different restaurants, I encourage you to check out one of the newer establishments in town that just reopened post COVID-19, Keeper of the Crêpes. It’s the first standalone restaurant in Wichita to feature all things crêpes.
Now that they are back, I wanted to stop by and revisit one of my favorite new places in town.

The restaurant is located in Delano in the former Chocolate Fountain Event Rental space.
The menu consists of sweet and savory crêpes along with a handful of different salad options.
For my savory crêpe, I ordered the #2 Poulet with grilled chicken, provolone, spinach, artichokes and Alfredo. The meal came with a salad of my choosing. After looking at the options, I had the La Dame Blanche which was cucumbers, dill, garlic, yogurt and mayonnaise. Lunch wouldn’t be complete without dessert, so I also had the #9 Marcel which was a dessert crêpe with Nutella.
The crêpes came out in around five minutes. Just like my first visit there, everything was truly heavenly. My Poulet crêpe was beyond light, airy, and delicious. At first glance, it looked so thin that it wouldn’t be filling but it was. The crêpe was deceivingly a big meal. My one issue in reviewing my lunch was I wasn’t sure what I liked more, the crêpe or the salad. It was my first time trying the La Dame Blanche and it was so incredibly refreshing and vibrant with flavors. The cucumber and dill just popped in each bite and gave some texture to the yogurt and mayonnaise. I couldn’t get enough of it and hope to go back soon for more.
To balance it all out, the sweet Nutella crêpe was just what I needed. It’s not often I order chocolate style desserts, but I was craving something rich but not so heavy. This hit the spot.
For those people who are tired of the same old style of restaurants in town, Keeper of the Crêpes is a breath of fresh air in our dining community. It’s just the type of dish that the city needs to give more variety to our restaurant scene.
I hope Wichita can give them some love.
