I’ve been a fan of Grandma Thuy’s back when they were just a home-based business operating out of a small space at home. I respected the hustle and I loved the food. Their journey to where they are now has been nothing but amazing and a true testament to hard work and quality of food.
They recently released a new menu and I wanted to stop by and show them some love.

Many items have been available for quite some time but have never made it on their “official menu”.
Items like their wings which we have been huge fans of are a must get. We really think they are one of the best wings in town. Much of our fascination with them comes to how crispy they are. It’s the picture perfect texture for how we enjoy our wings. A crispy exterior with a juicy, meaty interior.
Two items we had yet to try included their dumplings which can come either fried or steamed. In my opinion, steamed is the way to go. It’s pillowy soft and so full of flavor. Then there was the hot & sour soup, which isn’t a mainstay on the menu but sometimes available if you follow their Faceboook page. Hot & sour soup is probably one of my top ten favorite soups in the entire world and their version was pretty outstanding. It leaned a little more on the sour side and not as thick as others around town. All that aside though, it was very vibrant in flavor and still a good dish that I’d probably order anytime I’m at Grandma Thuy’s and it’s available.
I have a lot of love for Grandma Thuy’s as do many diners around town. Give their new menu a try, on it you’ll also see dishes like General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, an assortment of other appetizers and fried rice and lo mein dishes.
Here’s their menu:
Happy Dining,
Eddy
