I have this guilty pleasure I visit every so often. It’s Julius Rib Cage. The restaurant has since changed to a carryout only model and received a new facelift and paint job over the past year. Let’s take a revisit.

Julius Rib Cafe seems to be a one-man operation. I’m not sure I’ve even seen another employee working there over the past year.
On my most recent visit, I went with ribs and pulled pork. The owner places a seasoning salt of sorts all over the meat and sides. It’s quite addicting. The sides aren’t anything to write home about, but the seasoning salt really enhances it and makes it worthwhile.
I’ll be frank, this isn’t the best BBQ; the ribs aren’t all that meaty. But for some reason, I can’t help myself from going back again and again. It’s probably a 4-times a year stop for me, which is a lot considering I try to eat at different places every single day. One day, I need to go in and order my food without the seasoning salt to see if I still like it.
I don’t know, on paper it won’t rank high on my best BBQ list, but perhaps it’s nostalgia that keeps me coming back too. I’ve been going there for such a long time that I need to get my fix every so often.
They didn’t have any paper menus, so this was the best I could do for the menu:
