One of the kids was scrolling through TikTok and happened to come across a video I made on Station 8 BBQ. It was such an honor to know that I was cool enough to appear on his “For You” page on TikTok. Next thing I know, he asked if we could get some BBQ from there. As if I needed a reason to return to a restaurant…
… I said yes immediately.

Since my last visit, they expanded their hours to include Saturdays. They’ve also added beef bologna, jalapeno cheddar links, burnt ends and on Saturdays, beef ribs.
I stopped by during the week. So, I missed out on the beef ribs, but made sure to order a bit of everything, including the sides.
I happily brought everything home where I was met with big eyeballs excited for what was to come.
What is there to say? Everything was wonderful, truly wonderful. The kids channeled their inner-carnivore and took a bit of everything. Their favorites? The burnt ends were a home run for them, followed by the brisket and turkey. It was their first time with smoked bologna and they were shocked when I told them what it was, proving that it never hurts to try something new.
I mentioned it the first time around, but Station 8 excels at sides (on top of the BBQ). Their made from scratch sides makes you question whether you want to go there just for sides. It’s that good. I loved the honey carrots, broccoli slaw, cornbread pudding, and smoked mac. I came close to naming every side.
In such a short amount of time, Station 8 has quickly become one of my favorite places in town. I’ve slowly tried to work at becoming a better grill master at home, but won’t let that stop me from going out for Q. When I do, this is one of the restaurants on my rotation.
