In case you missed it, participating Dairy Queen locations are offering 85-cent Blizzards to those who use the DQ Mobile App in honor of the iconic treat’s start in 1985.
I went ahead and stopped by the north Maize location. There were lots of cars in the drive-thru, likely there to claim their 85-cent Blizzard. I ordered mine ahead of time on the app and decided to try their burger to supplement this review.
My order from Dairy Queen consisted of the original cheeseburger signature Stackburger combo with fries and a small s’mores Blizzard.
My s’mores Blizzard was everything I thought it would be. Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a bad Blizzard.
The cheeseburger signature Stackburger combo, on the other hand, left A LOT to be desired.
We are four months into the year and the cheeseburger was by far the worst burger I’ve had this year. It was dry, flavorless, bland, and made me wonder if it was a patty purchased at Walmart and nuked in the microwave for 60-seconds. The fries were just as bad.
I ate about half of everything and thought about giving the rest to the dog, but didn’t want her to suffer through what I did. Seriously, I’m not sure I can put into words how bad my burger was.
Next time, I’ll just stick to ordering an 85-cent Blizzard at Dairy Queen.
Happy Dining,
Eddy
