At FioRito Ristorante, the menu (also available online) had six different meals to choose from ranging between $80-120 that fed anywhere from 4 to 8 people depending on the option selected.

We went with the Rigatoni & Meatball Pasta Bake. Here was the description.

House-made Rigatoni pasta tossed in our red sauce with homemade meatballs. Finished with Pecorino cheese and baked. Enough for 4–6 people and includes choice of both house made bread and a fresh salad.

I was told the restaurant needs about two hours to prepare and have it hot and ready for you, so we called a couple of hours before pickup to place our order. Our food was ready when we scheduled the pickup, and here’s the finished product upon its arrival at home.

Somebody in my family took a piece out before I snuck a picture in!

Everyone’s appetites vary, but for our family this was more than enough for five adults. We had to send some pasta home with others.

For starters, the house made bread was wonderful. I’m not really a bread guy but found myself going back multiple times for more, which just filled me up. The cheese and herbs really stuck out and made me a believer in fresh house made bread.

The salad was a massive hit for everyone and probably the first dish finished.

Then it was the rigatoni & meatball pasta bake. For starters, the rigatoni was a heavy noodle. I had maybe a scoop and a half of the pasta bake and started to feel full. Did that stop me from a second heaping? No. It was all delicious and I loved how the sauce wasn’t overly sweet. As much as I kept wanting to eat more of the noodles and the meatballs, I eventually had to stop.

Why? Because there was tiramisu to be had. Three of us split this dessert because more food wasn’t exactly what we needed, but we couldn’t pass this up. Heavenly was probably the best word to describe it. We loved the texture and the slight coffee flavor in each bite.

We have been doing these carryout dishes for our board game nights. And this one time, we needed a break between eating and gaming because everyone was happily stuffed.

Thanks, FioRito.

And if you’re curious to what our feature game was last night? None other than Days of Wonder’s Ticket To Ride!
