First Look at Q’s Your Daddy’s BBQ & Catering

While out at the Maize Farmer’s Market, I came across Q’s Your Daddy’s BBQ & Catering. It’s a local BBQ business that recently launched a food truck.

In the past month, they’ve been parked out at Colwich, Maize and appears to be doing an event in Goddard.

The menu at Q’s Your Daddy’s BBQ & Catering only had two meat options: pulled pork and hot links. I decided to go with both along with spicy beans and potato salad as my sides.

While I didn’t think this was an “out of this world” type of BBQ. It was a very simple, well executed BBQ that I’d be happy eating if it was around. The pork was still pretty tasty and tender while the hot links did have some kick to it. Their spicy BBQ sauce had a very thick texture to it; almost jelly like but not as gelatinous.

The sides were an area that they did a fantastic job at. I especially loved the spicy beans that had nice chunks of meat mixed in and loads of heat that didn’t intrude with the flavor.

Would I go again? If they happened to be at an event again, and I was craving BBQ, I’d consider it. Like I said, nothing really that special but convenient and a decent little option if I’m in the mood. I would certainly try them again if their menu branched out and had some different options on the menu.
