It’s hard to miss the large cattle trailer in Wichita for the NCAA Tournament. It’s JT Tailgates, a local tailgate company dishing out Kansas City barbecue.

JT Tailgates with Aces Wild BBQ has been outside of Intrust Bank Arena in the Arena District serving thousands of people.
The beauty of what they are doing is donating a portion of proceeds to youth-faced non-profits such as Hope Fostered, Freedom Challenge, Life Point Church and Wheat State Retreat Center.

With that, I decided to go ham and order a majority of the menu. My ordered consisted of the pulled pork sandwich, chicken skewers, turkey leg, and queso.

I had the turkey leg and queso and the pictures don’t do it justice. It was a lefty piece of meat on a bone that was like a workout just holding it. It was something I just grazed; phone in one hand and turkey leg in the other. I love a good crispy skin to a turkey leg and that’s exactly what JT Tailgates offered.
The queso was also excellent.
One thing I love doing is eating for a good cause followed by having a great time. So being able to enjoy the tournament festivities while supporting causes for kids while eating…. that was a win win win.
