Must Try Menu Item: Marinated Kale & Avocado Sandwich from the Flying Stove

In our latest installment of my favorite feature on the blog: “Must Try Menu Item“, we head out to the popular world of food trucks. This is one you’ve probably heard of, The Flying Stove.

For this edition of the Must Try Menu Item, we ordered one of the most popular dishes there. It’s one I’ve never had before but a recommendation of my girlfriends. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you the Flying Stove’s marinated kale & avocado sandwich.

Eight dollars get you a perfectly constructed sandwich that includes kale, avocado, caramelized cheese, cucumber, tomato, and marble rye. It’s really a mouthful and will fill you up. I wasn’t sure what to make of a kale and avocado sandwich but this baby was packed with flavor. In a city where many sandwiches begin to feel the same, this was creative, original, and just a phenomenal meal. My girlfriend said it might be her favorite sandwich in town.
