Oreo everything seems to be the hot thing right now. Sonic recently announced that the Double Stuf Oreo Waffle Cone is back in stores for a limited time. We saw it advertised all over social media and just had to swing by to check it out.
For $2.49, the treat comes with a chocolate Oreo waffle cone that’s coated on the inside with Oreo crème and filled with vanilla ice cream. It’s then topped off with more Oreo crème and crushed Oreo pieces.
We ordered two of them because sharing is not an option when it comes to dessert.
The top of it was delicious. There were a significant amount of Oreo cookies pieces and sweet crème over the top that resembled the Double Stuf Oreo taste but once that was gone, everything fell kind of flat. I was hoping for more crushed Oreo pieces in the center but there were none to be had. My girlfriend wasn’t too impressed. She felt like it was more of just a chocolate waffle cone with vanilla ice cream. There’s nothing wrong with that but she wasn’t hoping for the Oreo flavor throughout the dessert. The only thing that resembled that was the layer at the very top.
It wasn’t bad by any means but if you are hoping for an entire treat that tastes like what is advertised, this isn’t for you. Now if you don’t care at all and just want to satisfy your sweet tooth, go ahead and give it a try.
