In case you didn’t know, there’s a mini-doughnut shop that has been sitting inside Union Station plaza for a little over six months. It’s The Dapper Doughnut and they specialize in fresh made to order mini cake doughnuts.

We went during their opening and have since returned multiple times. Unlike other donut shops where there is an entire case of donuts to choose from, The Dapper Doughnut simplifies things. When you arrive, you choose the number of mini-doughnuts you want. They are served in quantities of 6, 12, 24 and 48. They do catering and larger orders for events as well. We recently had them do an event for us.
Up next is choosing your toppings. They’ve expanded their options since the opening. Their menu had 13 pre-set creations that all sounded great.
On a recent order, we had around six different creations. Everybody had their favorite. The nice thing about them was everybody could try a little bit of everything. We weren’t stuck choosing one big large donut and left wondering whether to pig out and get another one. The mini-doughnuts made it very nice for those who wanted EVERY FLAVOR….. like myself. The cake doughnuts at that size weren’t so dense or heavy on the stomach. Granted, later on they started to feel that way but I think I went through 12-14 of them.
Most recently, I tried their doughnut milkshake for breakfast. Its six doughnuts mixed into a shake with two more donuts placed on a straw. I had their strawberry milkshake and loved it; not bad for $4.99.
It’s a great little spot and perfect for those food days you have at work or any event or gathering. I’ll definitely be returning multiple times.
