Let’s Review Little Caesar’s!

Little Caesars

Let’s review Little Caesar’s!

They were founded in 1959 in Detroit, MI. As the third-largest pizza chain in the United States, there are over 10 locations in the Wichita area.

The most popular line is their HOT-N-READY pizzas which consists of $5 pizzas that are always ready to be picked up. You can choose from sausage, pepperoni or cheese. On many occasions, I’ve seen people come in and order 5-10 of them.

In my household, we get them at least once a month because the kids always want it as their go-to pizza. Let’s face it, you’re not getting a high quality pizza but for $5 it’s extremely convenient and what we believe to be a step up from the ones in the frozen aisle.

Unlike other national chains, there are some inconsistencies in the pizza. Sometimes it will come loaded with pepperonis while other times, we are wondering if they mistakenly gave us a cheese pizza. And on other visits, a quarter of our pizza appears burnt. But for $5, you kind of get what you pay for. The times when it’s prepared properly, it’s a satisfying pizza that will easily feed a couple adults and a couple kids.

Where they shine, at least in my opinion, is the crazy bread. It’s magic for all of us. It’s so doughy and topped with butter and Parmesan. Each bite is heavenly and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve gone through half a bag of crazy bread before getting home. But like the pizza, it can be inconsistent. Sometimes it’s loaded with so much butter my doctor would raise an eyebrow. Then other times, it’s dry.

Some fans of Little Caesar’s swear by the wings but I’ve found them to be mediocre. They are roughly the same size as Buffalo Wild Wings. Their sauce options are very run-of-the-mill and unoriginal. But if you’re in the mood for wings with your pizza, you could certainly do worse.

As you can guess by now, Little Caesar’s isn’t the most consistent option nor is it the best option. But for price and convenience, it’s a decent option with great crazy bread.

Happy Dining,
Eddy
