The latest casualty in the Wichita dining scene appears to be The Dapper Doughnut which has been marked as permanently closed on their Facebook and Google business listing.
The restaurant offered mini-doughnuts inside the Union State kiosk at 701 E Douglas Ave.
It’s the latest business to close there with others being Funky Monkey Shaved Ice 21+, 8 Below Rolled Ice Cream, Noodles To Go and Douglas Street Tacos. The remaining tenant at the moment is Wichita Cheesecake Company who sits at the north end of Union Station.
Wichita is now left with zero mini-donut shops. The other mini-donut shop you may remember, Miri’s Mini’s, closed back in October of 2018.
So is it the Union Station kiosk location/seasonality or is it the mini-donut concept that has more trouble in Wichita?
Happy Dining,
Eddy
