The sister restaurant to First Mile Kitchen has opened at Fidelity’s RISE Car Park. First Mile Kitchen can be found on the ground level at the north end of the car park building. The downtown restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and craft cocktails.

There’s a cool, inviting vibe to First Mile Cantine. Many of the aesthetics found at First Mile Kitchen can be found here as well.
The menu is also pretty similar. For lunch, I went with the Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich which included red currants, roasted cashew, cilantro stem, celery in a baguette. I can’t say this is a dish I’ve had before around town. As a fan of curry and a fan of chicken salad sandwiches, this was a big hit for me. Each bite had a noticeable yet delicious curry flavor. The sandwich itself was quite hefty, which made for a more than satisfying lunch. I was quite pleased with the portion size.
And I have to once again give some love to the fries, the First Mile family of restaurants really knows their fries. It’s the right balance of saltiness and crispiness in each bite.
After having been to First Mile Kitchen a few times, it was no surprise to me that First Mile Cantine would be another winner. The food, ambiance, and service made for a convenient, quick and wonderful lunch option for Wichita.
