Livingston’s Cafe Review

Some of you may still call it Jeanne’s Cafe, but for this blog we are going to call it by their official name: Livingston’s Cafe. They are located at the Lincoln Heights Village Shopping Center at Douglas and Oliver.

We had a nice little family breakfast to start our day. The three of us split two Livingston’s Specials. The special came with your choice of two pancakes or French toast, egg eggs, one bacon and one sausage. We ordered one with the pancakes and the other with French toast.

Everything came out in a very timely manner and very warm. Our last breakfast stop around town was a little underwhelming. So, I have to applaud Livingston’s Cafe on a job well done. While our breakfast was basic staples, everything was done right. The food came out immediately and didn’t appear to be sitting around and the syrup was even warm. Cold or lukewarm syrup is a no-no in our household so it was nice to see warm syrup being delivered.

The pancakes and scrambled eggs were both fluffy. The eggs were cooked as ordered. I particularly loved the French toast. It’s been a while since I last had it and forgot how much I loved it. I see a Facebook post asking for the best French toast in the near future.

We wanted a simple breakfast with great service and that’s exactly what we received at Livingston’s Cafe. I haven’t been to the breakfast and lunch restaurant since they were called Jeanne’s Cafe so it was nice to see things running smoothly.

I’ve been traveling all over Wichita and the surrounding area to eat breakfast and left a very satisfied diner at Livingston’s Cafe.
