While out running some errands in Wichita, we were right by The Easy Egg Breakfast & Lunch. The restaurant which originally opened in Haysville moved to Wichita earlier this month. We stopped by during their opening week and figured to revisit them for breakfast.

When we arrived, they were giving out complimentary cinnamon and sugar donut balls. I think it was because of the holiday week, but not entirely sure. They were a great starter and something our daughter couldn’t get enough of. You can never go wrong with cinnamon and sugar.
For our breakfast, we had a traditional French toast, chicken crepes and a side of biscuits and gravy. The French toast was a simple, classic dish that they executed to perfection. The toast had just the right thick yet easy to cut into texture that was dipped in a flavorful French toast butter.
The chicken crepes were filled with chicken, onions, tomato, spinach and shredded cheese. It was topped with a homemade jalapeno sauce that packed a bunch of heat. I was surprised how much heat it had. Depending on your heat tolerance, it might be too spicy for some. But if you can take it, I’d highly recommend it.
Probably the only lowlight for us was the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was missing something; perhaps some bits of sausage would have helped. The biscuits were a bit firm, but the gravy didn’t resonate with our taste buds. But aside from that, everything was a hit for us.
And the service? Once again it was outstanding, the entire staff was walking around with fantastic attitudes. They were all friendly and appreciative of all the customers who dined in.
Now, we need to go back for lunch.
Here’s the menu:
