Their new patio will be unveiled via a grand opening celebration on Thursday, September 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The grand opening is a ticketed event that cost $500 per person, which is a benefit for the Wichita Children’s Home.

Wichita Riverfest started nearly 50 years ago as a way to celebrate and unify the community during Wichita’s Centennial. Now, the jam-packed, fun-filled event is the largest, longest-running, and most anticipated festival in the region. Normally a nine-day celebration, this year’s festival takes place over two extended weekends in an effort to keep attendees safe. The fall event will look more like the traditional Riverfest celebration with the return of the food court, headliner concerts, fireworks, the Sundown Parade and more.
■ McAlister’s Deli Grand Opening in Derby | October 1
McAlister’s Deli will open its doors in Derby, Kansas at 2425 North Rock Rd. Derby, KS 67037 at 10:00 a.m. And to celebrate the grand opening, the location will be giving away Free 30-Day Tea Passes to the first 50 guests who place a pick-up window order through the McAlister’s app or website.
